Redneck Wonderland

If Weird Al Jankovich were to do a comedy pastiche of ageing Aussie rockers Midnight Oil, he'd probably come up with something pretty close to Redneck Wonderland. This is a dismal album, packed with tuneless dirges, horrendous cliches (lines like 'I know seeing is believing/I can't believe what I'm seeing') and psuedo-political hogwash (White Skin Black Heart being the worst offender). Put it all together and you soon realise that the band who brought you Beds Are Burning all those years ago are now one big cliche themselves. Maybe a rogue fag will be flicked through their window and onto their mattress.
